民放連は２７日、２０１１年７月の地上デジタル放送完全移行をＰＲするため、新しいキャラクター「地デジカ」を発表した。
「地デジカ」の文字がしょぼすぎるのでは、と口にしたところ、横から「そういうレベルではないのではないか。」という声も聞こえたりして。

ニュースの第一印象は、「これといいサイバンインコといい、鳩山サンはこういうキャラクターが好きなんかなぁ。」でしたが、民放連のキャラクターであり総務省のキャラでは無いようですから、鳩山サンはコメントを寄せているだけで選考には関係無いんですね。
ところでこれって草なぎクンの後継なんでしょうか？時期的にいかにもそのような感じだったのですが、草なぎクンは総務省が任命した「地上デジタル放送推進メーンキャラクター」であったようなのですが、地デジカは民放連のキャラクターということですから、バックボーンが違うようです。両者を兼任していたのかもしれませんが、どこを見てもその辺が曖昧でよくわかりません。
たくさん居る地デジキャラクターの中のメインの座の後継という意味合いでは後継なのかもしれませんが。
また、草なぎ事件が無かったらお蔵入りするはずのキャラクターだったのか、それともたまたま発表時期が重なっただけなのか（発表を前倒ししたのかもしれませんが）、その辺の事情をご存じの方は居られないでしょうか？
